The Refugee Film Festival

For the first time, Refugee Week 2017 included the new and exciting addition of Australia’s first ever Refugee Film Festival. The festival involved several activities including film screenings in Melbourne at Cinema Nova, Carlton and film Screenings in Sydney at the State Library of NSW.

The festival was a great success, with a turnout of over 1000 people across Melbourne and Sydney. In addition, the many independent screenings across Australia raised money, awareness and discussion of the themes and content of the films
